1930s Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen Marine Green Pearl
1930s Sheaffer Balance 5-30 in marine green pearl. Very clean pen with no gold plate wear on the clip except for two small spots on the clip ball. No gold wear on the cap band; the cap band does have a scratch and there are a number of very shallow scratches on the plastic parts. You have to look closely to see them. The pen is easily in excellent condition. It sports correct feed and 14kt glod nib. The nib is a firm, fine. The pen has been re-sacked and it writes well. 135mm long capped. Cap thickness is 12.5mm. The yellow wax in the imprint is there to highlight its depth and completeness. If desired, it can be removed by hard wiping with a cotton cloth. I kept it this way as it gives this pen a very nice appearance.
