1940 Parker Duofold Vacumatic Fountain Pen and Pencil
Parker Duofold Vacumatic Fountain Pen and Pencil. The fountain pen has a very, very nice super flexible nib. If you are buying this set you are buying it for this nib. Do take a look at the writing sample below, it was made using normal amounts of pressure when writing.
This is a set that dates to the third quarter of 1940, the first year of its production.
There is minimal gold plating loss on high points of the clip. The band, unique to this model is clean while the bllind cap ring has a pair of tiny spots of barely visible wear.
The plastic on both pieces is clean and scratch-free. Imprints are deep and complete.
Pen is 130mm long, capped. The cap is between 12.5mm and 8mm thick.
The pencil is 130mm long and 9.6mm thick. Expells and retracts lead smoothly.
