
1st quarter of 1947 Parker 51 Vacumatic Fountain Pen Solid Gold Cap and Trim. The cap has engraved indicia but has no dings and only micro fine scratches typical for solid gold surfaces. The clip and blind cap tassie are also solid gold. All are in perfect condition. The plastic on this pen is in excellent to near mint condition. The imprint on the plastic is deep and complete indicating the production in 1st quarter of 1947. The nib is correct 14kt one, extra fine, firm. The pen has been re-fitted with a new diaphragm and completely disassembled/cleaned/assembled. It writes a very fine line.
The pen is easily a collection-grade one.
